Cloud Engineer

About Me

I'm Jermaine Brewer, a Cloud Engineer and Salesforce Consultant with a strong foundation in IT support, cloud infrastructure, and marketing automation. After serving in the U.S. Air Force and transitioning into the tech industry, I've built a career around helping businesses implement scalable, cloud-based solutions. I have hands-on experience with services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation. I also consult on Salesforce and Pardot cloud platforms, offering clients strategic guidance on setup, automation, and user training. I'm currently focused on growing as a cloud engineer while continuing to take on projects that challenge me to solve real-world problems in the cloud.

Auto-Healing EC2 with Terraform

In this project, I’ll show you how to automatically restart a stopped EC2 instance using Amazon EC2, Amazon EventBridge, AWS Lambda, Amazon SNS, and Terraform. This project is 100% Free Tier compatible.

Configuring and Deploying Amazon VPC for a 3-tier Web App

This project demonstrates how to set up a VPC infrastructure to support a basic 3-tier web application in your AWS Cloud environment. The VPC will be built across multiple Availability Zones so that your application is highly available.

Host a Static Website with AWS Amplify

In this project, you will learn how to deploy a static website with AWS Amplify. Amplify offers a Git-based CI/CD workflow for building, deploying, and hosting websites. Static websites deliver HTML, JavaScript, images, video, and other files to your website visitors. Static websites are very low-cost, provide high levels of reliability, require almost no IT administration, and are scaled to handle enterprise-level traffic with no additional work.

CI/CD Pipeline: Deploying a Blog to AWS with GitHub Actions + OIDC

To automate deployments of my Hugo-based blog to AWS, I built a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions and AWS IAM Roles with OIDC (OpenID Connect) for secure, short-lived credentials.
